New Pharmacy Copays Effective Jan. 1, 2022

The Defense Health Agency has notified USFHP of the following changes to prescription drug copays, effective Jan. 1, 2022:

Walgreens Pharmacy – up to a 30-day supply

  • Tier 1 (Generic Formulary Drugs): Copay will increase from $13 to $14
  • Tier 2 (Brand Name Formulary Drugs): Copay will increase from $33 to $38
  • Tier 3 (Non-Formulary Drugs): Copay will increase from $60 to $68

Home Delivery & Pharmacy Network Retail – up to a 90-day supply (maintenance medications only)

  • Tier 1 (Generic Formulary Drugs): Copay will increase from $10 to $12
  • Tier 2 (Brand Name Formulary Drugs): Copay will increase from $29 to $34
  • Tier 3 (Non-Formulary Drugs): Copay will increase from $60 to $68

*Non-formulary means that the drug is not on TRICARE’s list of fully covered medications.
