Telehealth Copay Waiver to End Sept. 6

Effective Sept. 6, 2022, the Defense Health Agency will end its temporary waiver of copayments and cost-shares for telehealth services. Here is how telehealth services will be covered moving forward:

  • Active duty family members and retirees with Medicare will still have a $0 copay.
  • The copay for other members depends on the visit and the provider type. Telehealth visits will be the same copay as an in-person visit would be. Most providers will collect the copay up front.
  • Johns Hopkins OnDemand visits have the same copay as primary care office visitsCost share information is available at I’m a Member > My Benefits.
