Need help?

We’re here to help. Find answers to the most commonly asked questions.

How do I create a member account?

At the top of any page on this website, click Member Login, or go directly to register.jhhp.org/member. Fill out all required fields and follow prompts to confirm your email address and set up an optional authentication method.

Does USFHP have a mobile app?

Yes! You can download the Johns Hopkins Health Plans app in the App Store or on Google Play. Sign in with the same username and password you use online. Nearly everything you can do on the website you can do in the app.

I didn’t get my verification or password reset email.

Check your spam or junk folder first. If it isn’t there, confirm the email address on your account is spelled correctly — a single wrong character will send the message somewhere else. Customer Service can correct it for you at 800-808-7347.

What if I forget my password or get locked out?

Select Forgot Password on the sign-in page and follow the prompts. If your account is locked after too many failed attempts, call Customer Service at 800-808-7347. We’ll verify your membership before unlocking the account.

Can I add a digital ID card to my phone’s wallet?

Not at this time, but we are developing this. Right now, you can view your digital ID card through your online account or the app. You can still show your card this way to your providers.

How do I find a doctor?

Log into your online account by clicking Member Login or visit member.jhhp.org. Select Find a Doctor from Quick Actions, or go to Find Care. Enter your location and what you’re looking for — a provider’s name, a specialty, a hospital, or a facility.

Can I change my primary care provider (PCP)?

Yes. There are two ways to do this:

Option 1: Quick Actions

  1. From your Home Page, select Change PCP under Quick Actions.
  2. You’ll see a list of primary care providers near your home address who are accepting new patients.
  3. Once you find the PCP you want, click Select PCP.

Option 2: Find Care

  1. Log in and go to Find Care.
  2. Open the provider’s profile.
  3. Select Request PCP Change.

Either way, you’ll get a confirmation email and a notice in your account. The change generally takes 3–5 business days to process.

You can also call Customer Service at 800-808-7347 or send us a secure message from your online account.

Where can I see what my plan covers?

For coverage specific to you and your plan, log into your online account. Go to Coverage & Benefits. Medical and prescription benefits each have their own page, and you can search by service or filter by category rather than reading through the full benefit schedule.

How do I submit a claim for reimbursement?

After logging into your account, go to Claims & Costs, then Claims & EOBs, and select the reimbursement link at the top of the page. Complete the form and attach proof of payment. You can check the status of past submissions from the same place.

Can I get my Explanation of Benefits electronically?

Yes. Log into your online account by clicking Member Login or visit member.jhhp.org. Go to My Account, then Profile & Preferences, and set your paperless preference. You can also apply it to covered dependents under 18.

Can I send a message to Customer Service?

Yes, if you prefer to send us a secure message instead of calling, log into your account. Go to Messages & Notifications, then Message Center, and select New Message. Choose the topic closest to your question and write your message. You’ll receive an email notification when a reply is ready. Don’t use messages for medical emergencies — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
