Cervical Cancer Screening

What is this screening?

A Pap smear (or Pap test) or HPV test collects a sample of cells by swabbing the cervix. This test detects the presence of the human papillomavirus, which can cause cervical cancer and other health problems.

Who needs this screening?

Most women ages 21 to 64 should be tested every 3 to 5 years.
